Ladner Koi Pond
This was, perhaps, our most challenging project to date. The homeowners wanted to triple the size of their existing Koi pond, as well as create a new arching bridge over the pond, build curved benches around the existing gazebo, and enlarge the surrounding gardens.
Under the gardens and pond, lies extensive and complicated systems of pumps, filters, hoses, and drainage, whose installation was made all the more difficult by the high water table in Ladner over the winter and spring.
A new pond liner was welded, in place, to the existing old liner, creating one giant liner for the expanded pond. Massive boulders up to 8000 lbs, were craned into place atop the liner - a tricky and delicate operation!
